The Fujimoto Feel

Beautiful club heads with a unique soft feel that you won't want to go back from

SINCE 1960 Japanese Forging Brand | 100% Pure Japanese Handcrafted

Exclusive "Hizukuri" Forging Process Technology

"Hizukuri" is Fujimoto's 72-hour extremely slow annealing technique developed to achieve the best feel. Regular soft iron forging often leads to metal structure deformation during cooling, which affects ball striking feedback.

Fujimoto specifically reheats the forged club head to 800-1200 degrees to effectively release internal metal stress. Through a special cooling process lasting up to 72 hours, the metal structure achieves the most optimal arrangement, resulting in an exceptionally soft and dense club head feel.

The "Golden 72 Hours" of FT Forging

  • Secondary Heating: Resolves forging pressure and molecular structure deformation caused by rapid cooling.
  • Straw Cooling: Heated club heads are individually placed in containers filled with "natural straw ash," a traditional technique passed down through generations of Japanese blacksmiths.
  • Creating Perfection: After 3 days of cooling and restructuring, the metal structure of the club head becomes uniformly consistent, creating an unparalleled, luxurious feel.

Fujimoto Feel

Each club head in the FT series undergoes reheating after forging and is then left to rest for 72 hours in temperature-controlled straw ash.

鍛造初始狀態

Stage 1 | Initial Forging

High-pressure stress and rapid cooling during the forging process can lead to distortion and deformation of the metal's internal microstructure (grains).

Stage 2 | Reheating Process

In our factory, heated club heads are placed in containers filled with natural straw ash for 72 hours. This is a traditional technique passed down through generations of Japanese forging craftsmen.

結構重組完成

Stage 3 | Structural Reshaping

After a cooling process lasting up to three days, the metal structure within the club head is uniformly rearranged, creating a unique ball-striking feel.

Fujimoto Gikoh

The history of Fujimoto Gikoh dates back to the 1960s. At that time, founder Mitsunobu Fujimoto noticed that the blacksmiths of Ichikawa Town were once again engaged in forging iron club heads, a craft that had been prohibited during the war and had only recently been revived.

1960s
Founder Mitsunobu Fujimoto, in his small workshop, repaired and replicated Western iron club heads based on his knife forging techniques, evolving into the "Hizukuri" method.
Late 1960s
"Fujimoto Golf Equipment Factory" was officially established, undertaking OEM manufacturing for major brands, laying the foundation for today's business.
1980s
Mitsunobu's three sons successively joined, injecting new momentum into the family business and entering a period of expansion.
1990s to Present
In 2015, CNC technology and proprietary brands were introduced. In 2017, Fujimoto Golf was founded, dedicated to restoring the annealing process and the pure feel.
