The Fujimoto Feel
A superb clubhead with an unforgettable, soft, unique feel
SINCE 1960 Japanese Forging Heritage Brand | 100% Handcrafted in Japan
Exclusive "Hizukuri" Forging Technology
"Hizukuri" is Fujimoto's 72-hour ultra-slow annealing technique developed to achieve the best feel. Regular soft iron forging often leads to metal structure deformation during cooling, which affects ball strike feedback.
Fujimoto reheats the forged clubhead to 800-1200 degrees Celsius to effectively relieve internal metal stress. Through a special cooling process lasting up to 72 hours, the metal structure achieves the most optimal arrangement, resulting in an extremely dense and exquisite clubhead feel.
The "Golden 72 Hours" of FT Forging
- Secondary Heating: Resolves the deformation of the molecular structure (grain) caused by forging pressure and rapid cooling.
- Straw Cooling: Each heated clubhead is individually placed in containers filled with "natural straw ash," a traditional technique passed down through generations of Japanese blacksmiths.
- Creating Perfection: After 3 days of cooling and restructuring, the metal structure of the clubhead becomes uniform and consistent, creating an unparalleled, premium feel.

Fujimoto Feel
Each clubhead in the FT series is reheated after forging and left for 72 hours in temperature-controlled straw ash.

Stage 1|Initial Forging
High-pressure stress and rapid cooling during the forging process can cause microscopic structures (grains) within the metal to distort and deform.

Stage 2|Reheating Treatment
In our factory, heated clubheads are placed in containers filled with natural straw ash for 72 hours. This is a traditional technique passed down through generations of Japanese forging artisans.

Stage 3|Structural Reshaping
After a cooling process lasting up to three days, the internal metal structure of the clubhead is uniformly rearranged, creating a unique and unparalleled hitting feel.
Fujimoto Gikoh
The history of Fujimoto Gikoh dates back to the 1960s. At that time, founder Sanenobu Fujimoto noticed that blacksmiths in Ichikawa Town were returning to the production of forged iron clubheads, a craft that had been prohibited during the war and revitalized after it. This evolved into the "Hizukuri" (fire forging) technique.
