SINCE 1960 Japanese Forging Heritage Brand | 100% Handcrafted in Japan
Exclusive "Hizukuri" Forging Technology
"Hizukuri" is Fujimoto's 72-hour ultra-slow annealing technique developed to achieve the optimal feel. Ordinary soft iron forging can easily lead to metal structure deformation during cooling, which affects ball strike feedback.
Fujimoto specifically reheats the forged clubhead to 800-1200 degrees to effectively release internal metal stress. Through a special cooling process lasting up to 72 hours, the metal structure achieves the most superior arrangement, making the clubhead feel exceptionally mellow.
The "Golden 72 Hours" of FT Forging
- Secondary Heating: Resolves microstructural deformation (grain distortion) caused by forging pressure and rapid cooling.
- Straw Cooling: Individual heated clubheads are placed in containers filled with "natural straw ash," a traditional technique passed down through generations of Japanese blacksmiths.
- Creating Perfection: After 3 days of cooling and restructuring, the metal structure of the clubhead becomes uniformly consistent, creating an unparalleled, premium feel.

Fujimoto Feel
Each clubhead in the FT series is reheated after forging and left to rest for 72 hours in temperature-controlled straw ash.

Stage 1|Initial Forging
High-pressure stress and rapid cooling during the forging process can cause microscopic structures (grains) within the metal to distort and deform.

Stage 2|Reheating Process
At our factory, heated clubheads are placed into containers filled with natural straw ash for 72 hours. This is a traditional technique passed down for generations among Japanese forging artisans.

Stage 3|Structure Reshaping
After a cooling process lasting up to three days, the metal structure inside the clubhead is uniformly rearranged, thus creating a unique ball strike feel.
Fujimoto Gikoh
The history of Fujimoto Gikoh dates back to the 1960s. At that time, founder Sanenobu Fujimoto noticed that blacksmiths in Ichikawa-cho were once again forging iron clubheads, a craft that had been prohibited during the war and only began to revive after it.
